FLATZ (*1952) is one of the most prominent international artists living in Munich. Born in Austria, he became well-known in the 1970s through his performances, sculptures and spatial multimedia installations. FLATZ’s works are extreme and designed to be provocative; time and again he works with his own body to give expression to human vulnerability and to counteract public indifference. With works from all creative phases, the exhibition focuses on FLATZ’s radical concept of the body that nevertheless highlights sensitive and fragile aspects as well in a highly distinctive manner.
